Hickory Creek Heroes: Nancy, Crystal, Bree, Trina, Megan, Jill, Perri, Chelsea, Mariah, Jennifer, and Luana!

The Plains, Ohio - We are excited to continue honoring and introducing you to our Hickory Creek Heroes! The pictures and descriptions we have been posting do not do justice to these heroes we are honoring! We cannot thank them enough for their dedication to our residents.

Today, you get to meet Nancy, Crystal, Bree, Trina, Megan, Jill, Perri, Chelsea, Mariah, Jennifer, and Luana! Get to know our heroes behind the mask!




Get to know 
Nancy behind the mask! Nancy Heller has been a hero at Hickory Creek for almost 23 years! She was in our Housekeeping department for almost seven years and has been working in our Laundry department for the last 16 years. When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and doing things outside! When we asked Nancy what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "Helping the residents, looking out for our residents, and keeping them safe." We also asked Nancy what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Nancy said, "Stay safe and wear a mask!" Thank you for being our Hero, Nancy!

Crystal behind the mask! Crystal Lucas, STNA, has worked in the healthcare industry for eight years. She has been a hero at Hickory Creek for almost four years now! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys sewing, drawing, cooking, and being outdoors! When we asked Crystal what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "We are all one big family here!" We also asked Crystal what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Crystal said, "Pay attention to what you touch and wash your hands often. Check on your loved ones and help those in need!" Thank you for being our Hero, Crystal!

Bree behind the mask! Bree Thompson, STNA, has worked in the healthcare industry for five years. She has been a hero at Hickory Creek for three years! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys visiting friends and family and eating snacks! When we asked Bree what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "I love being able to spend time with the residents and connecting with them!" We also asked Bree what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Bree said, "Wash your hands!" Thank you for being our Hero, Bree!

Trina behind the mask! Trina Hartley, STNA, has been a hero at Hickory Creek for almost 19 years now! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys spending time with her kids and grandbabies. She also likes to garden in her free time! When we asked Trina what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "Working with the residents and co-workers." We also asked Trina what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. She said, "Wash your hands and be patient; it will soon be over." Thank you for being our Hero, Trina!

 



Get to know 
Megan behind the mask! Megan Winchell has been a Hero in our activities department at Hickory Creek for almost a year! She has been a wonderful addition to our Activities Department and is great at making the residents smile! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys fishing, playing with her dogs, working out, cleaning, and doing her make-up! When we asked Megan what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "Building bonds with the residents, creating memories with them, and making them smile!" We also asked Megan what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Megan said, "Stay home, take precautions, wash your hands, and stay calm." Thank you for being our Hero, Megan!

Jill behind the mask! Jill Hanning, LPN, has been a hero at Hickory Creek for over 13 years! She has been a nurse for 15 years and prior to that worked as an STNA for five years! When she is not being a hero on the front-line as a nurse, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs. She also enjoys listening to music! When we asked Jill what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "Getting to make the residents smile and getting to meet new people!" We also asked Jill what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. She said, "Please take this seriously." Thank you for being our Hero, Jill!

Perri behind the mask! Perri Llewellyn, STNA, has been an STNA for 12 years! She has been serving as a hero at Hickory Creek for 6 of those years! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she likes to read, garden, and entertain her family and friends! When we asked Perri what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "To work with the amazing residents and a great team of co-workers!" We also asked Perri what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Perri said, "Practice your social distancing and know what is essential." Thank you for being our Hero, Perri!

Chelsea behind the mask! Chelsea Worstell, STNA, has been a hero at Hickory Creek for almost three years! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys spending time with her son, friends, and family! When we asked Chelsea what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "Getting to know my residents and their families and getting to spend time with them!" We also asked Chelsea what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Chelsea said, "Wash, wash, wash your hands and stay home so we can kick COVID-19's butt!" Thank you for being our Hero, Chelsea!

Mariah behind the mask! Mariah Click, OT, just graduated with her Occupational Therapy degree in December and has been a hero at Hickory Creek for about two months now! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys reading, spending time with her puppy, baking, and being outdoors! When we asked Mariah what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "I love seeing and working with the residents every day and seeing them get better and stronger!" We also asked Mariah what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Mariah said, "Just stay calm and don't panic; we will get through this together!" Thank you for being our Hero, Mariah!

Jennifer behind the mask! Jennifer Miller, STNA, has been in the healthcare industry for about nine years. She has been a hero at Hickory Creek for about nine months! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends! When we asked Jennifer what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "Being able to care for the awesome residents we have and working with fantastic co-workers!" We also asked Trina what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. She said, "Stay home and enjoy being with family. Be safe if you must go out!" Luana behind the mask! Luana Dearing has worked in the healthcare industry for 22 years. She has worked as an STNA for 19 of those years, but has been working in our housekeeping department for the last seven years! When she is not being a hero on the front-line, she enjoys watching TV. When we asked Luana what her favorite thing about her job at Hickory Creek was, she said, "Housekeeping is my favorite part!" We also asked Luana what advice she would give to the public about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Luana said, "Be safe and wear a mask." Thank you for being our Hero, Luana!
